I love loud music when I workout. I just feel so energized and unstoppable.
Music is a staple for me when I workout. Luckily, I workout at my home gym so I can blast the music as loud as I want to and it drives my family crazy. But anything for a successful workout right?
So here are the artists and songs that I can't get through a workout without:
Artists:
1. Britney Spears
I usually don't love her songs, but they are awesome for working out! My top favorites are Till the World Ends, Toxic, and Make Me. The down beat hits the nail on the head and really gets the blood pumping through your veins.
2. Ariana Grande
I love Ariana Grande, especially when I'm working out. Her songs have something that's just so unique and make working out more like a dance party. My favorites are Be Alright, Side To Side, Greedy, and Bad Decisions. Don't let the song fool you, listening to these while working out is far from a bad decision.
3. DNCE
DNCE is the best. I was obsessed with Jonas Brothers when I was little, so I was so excited when I found out Joe Jonas was in DNCE. Body Moves and Toothbrush are always on repeat during my workouts.
4. Fergie
If you've ever heard a Fergie song before, I don't even have to explain why they're so amazing for your workouts. I barely get in my resistance training during those incredible three minutes listening to Fergalicious and A Little Party Never Killed Nobody because I'm way to busy dancing.
5. David Guetta
This One's For You and Play Hard could be the only two songs I listen to during a workout and I'd be completely happy. Every time he sings "Play hard, work hard" I think about how amazing I'll feel after I workout. And how much better food tastes after a workout ;)
Songs:
So I'm picky with my music. Usually when I workout, I listen to a hodgepodge of different songs from different artists. So here's the rest of my playlist that ends up on shuffle:
1. Mercy - Shawn Mendes
2. I Don't Wanna Live Forever - ZAYN
3. All Night - Icona Pop
4. Bad Things - Machine Gun Kelly
5. Love Me Now - John Legend
6. Don't Wanna Know - Maroon 5
7. Final Song - MO
8. All In My Head - Fifth Harmony
9. Love More - Chris Brown
10. She Sets The City On Fire - Gavin DeGraw
I especially love the last one. Gavin DeGraw is never on shuffle. I feel like I'm setting my workouts on fire and working to become that "perfect 10" girl he talks so much about.
So some of these were probably unexpected. But the point of a workout playlist is to fill it with songs that make you just want to move. Even if that means jamming out to Bohemian Rhapsody. If you feel kind of stuck when it comes to creating a playlist, try some of these songs and see if you love them as much as I do.
Happy fitness Friday!
