It's finally spring and I'm praying for warmer weather soon! But we all know what spring means, cleaning time.
This time around, try something a little unconventional. Instead of cleaning your house or your room, look inside yourself and do some tidying up there.
Clean out your mind. Life is stressful. Maybe you stay up worrying all night or maybe you just have that little bit of worry in the back of your mind that won't leave. It could be school or classes, work, or even family stresses. It's so easy to get caught up in those worries. But what happens is that we lose sight of the great things that are right in front of us. We miss out on the exciting things and life just seems to pass us by. As hard as it is, try to let go of those worries. They'll always be there and you'll have to fight several times during the day to move past them. But keep reminding yourself to live in the present and things will slowly get easier.
Clean up your physical being. The best way to start feeling good on the outside is to start feeling good on the inside. Start eating a healthy diet and maybe even start exercising. Take little steps. Add some fruit one day and the next more veggies. Go for a five minutes walk one day, and the next try to go a little longer. The little things add up and soon you'll start feeling great.
Last, clean up your heart. Have you had a broken heart? Maybe a guy broke your heart. Or maybe, it was't even a someone that broke your heart, but a something. It's so hard to mend a broken heart. People usually just say time heals, but sometimes that's not enough. You need a support system. Don't be afraid to lean on others. Time may heal some parts, but you need to be surrounded by love from others to heal the rest. Don't be scared to be vulnerable again, it's a healing mechanism.
Once you finish all of those, you can move on and start cleaning your house if you really want to.
Happy spring!
