Get your green on because tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! I love this day so much! Not only am I a cradle Catholic, but I have Irish blood running fast and strong through my veins. So you can bet on a pinch from me if you're not wearing green!
If you the day as much as me, I'm sure you've made the celebratory stop to McDonald's for a shamrock shake. They are all the buzz! Although I'm sure they are delicious, let's be honest. The ingredient list and nutrition label are pretty scary. So I came up with a healthier option of this delicious treat.
Ingredients:
- Halo Top Creamery Ice Cream Pistachio Flavor
- 1 tablespoon collagen peptides
- 2 tablespoons coconut milk
I love Halo Top! I took 3-4 heaping scoops of this delicious Halo Top and put it in my Ninja blender.
Add one large tablespoon of collagen. I use marine collagen peptides. I recommend staying clear of hydrolyzed collagen, mostly for taste purposes. It has a very strong flavor. This pure marine collagen, on the other hand, is very mild and the flavor is masked by the ice cream.
Add a couple tablespoons of coconut milk. Then just blend until smooth!
