New Year's Eve Makeup
Today is New Year's Eve and you might be going all out to ring in 2017. New Year's Eve is pretty magical. Whether or not you're going out or hosting a party, you want to look and feel your absolute best. So put on that sparkly dress, heels, and follow this bold and edgy makeup tutorial for an amazing New Year's Eve look!
The first thing to do is start with clean skin! Then, apply your foundation and concealer. I don't usually use much foundation, but when I do it is Almay Smart Shade. My skin tone is so light that even the fairest of foundations are still too dark on me. I love this one because the color changes to match your skin tone. For concealer, I use Physicians Formula Concealer Twins. I use the yellow and green ones. After I use my foundation, I dot any red spots with the green concealer. I use the yellow concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles. I then use a basic press powder to set everything afterwards.

New Year's Party Appetizer
It's almost New Years Eve and you might be hosting a party or event. If so, one of the toughest things to prep for is the food. What should you make? Is it time consuming? Will people like it? Fortunately, with this appetizer, you can answer yes to all those questions.
Three ingredients. That's it. Sometimes, you don't have time to make everything from scratch, and that's ok! But that doesn't mean you can't still assemble something that will make taste buds sing. These sausage pineapple bites with balsamic glaze are amazing and fast to make.

Motivation After The Holidays
I love Christmas. I love being able to spend time with my family, eat wonderful food, and just be able to take a break. But, after the holidays pass, it's time to get back into a regular routine and start getting your health back on track again. However, this can be very difficult. It's so easy to find the motivation to get moving and eating healthy again after a nice long break. Hopefully these few tips will help!
1. Start slow. If you try to go back to your old routine full speed after a break, it is so overwhelming and will actually make your motivation run out quicker. Start slow and do little things everyday. For example, instead of trying to pick the closest parking spot to the store, try picking the farthest parking spot so you have to walk more.
2. Embrace the season. Even after Christmas, it is still the winter season and you will probably still have time off. Take time to do fun activities with your family and friends like playing in the snow, taking a walk, or ice skating. You'll have so much fun it won't even feel like you're exercising!

It might sound cliche, but I love Christmas so much because I have so much fun with my family. We have so many traditions it's hard to keep count! But I've compiled a few of my favorites to share with you on this magical night.

Holiday Party Outfit
It's Christmas week!!
With Christmas coming in just a few days, you might be rummaging through your closet to try to find the perfect outfit for a Christmas Eve party, Christmas dinner, or really any Christmas event. I hope my holiday outfit offers some inspiration to you!
I love this outfit so much. It was also super easy to piece together and shopping was a breeze because I got almost all of the pieces from the same store.

December Ipsy Bag
What woman doesn't love makeup? Everyone loves to get new makeup products and try out different looks. But nowadays, makeup is SO expensive. Especially if you're a college student like me! I would love to get high quality makeup, but my bank account laughs at the prices...
My sister recently introduced me to a magical thing called an Ipsy Glam Bag. Let me just say, this stuff is the real deal! Every month, you get 5 different makeup products from brands you requested. You also get to keep the bag it comes in for makeup storage or a little clutch. If you're trying to be healthy, you probably know that a lot of makeup is filled with chemicals and harmful residues. But with Ipsy, you can request to get high quality makeup from all-natural and even organic brands. The best part, it's only $10.00 a month!! I want to share my glam bag bundle from this month and give you honest reviews on the products. I hope after reading this, you will love Ipsy as much as I do!

Healthy Gingerbread Cookies
Happy holidays! Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. It was a time where I took a break from everything and had a little downtime. My family had a lot of Christmas traditions. Decorating our tree, caroling, watching Christmas movies, and my favorite, Christmas baking! Since I was homeschooled, my mom would give us a three week Christmas break. My mom, sister, and I would spend days baking cookies. My favorite cookie to make was always gingerbread. My sister and I would take turns stirring the dough and putting the perfect little cookies on a baking sheet. Then on Christmas Eve, my uncle would come into town and we would all have a gingerbread decorating contest--something I've yet to win...
Nevertheless, there's just something about biting into a perfectly sweet and spicy gingerbread cookie that reminds me of Christmas and my childhood. Since my expedition to become a healthier version of myself, I haven't had gingerbread in years... Until this cookie!

My Story
Hello! My name is Kelsey Lynn. I'm a sophomore in college and a Nutrition and Wellness Major. I'm new to the blogging world and am so excited to learn about new opportunities and share my experiences with you! For my first post, I wanted to share my story and what inspired my blog. Throughout my whole life, I was raised to know the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I loved to be active. I was a gymnast, competitive figure skater, swimmer, and dancer. My parents were very health conscious. So, in addition to staying active, they taught me the importance of a healthy diet. I was homeschooled most of my life and absolutely loved it. I made some of the strongest friendships and I loved the flexibility it offered. I also had more time to dedicate to sports. Most days I would take my homework to the skating rink and study between skating sessions! I had a crazy busy life, but I wouldn't have changed a thing. I felt like I was on top of the world and had everything under control. I had great friends, a wonderful family, a solid education, an exciting faith, and an adventurous life. However, everything seemed to change about five years ago.
